This summer, Little Makers returns to Amsterdam with something special.
After a short pause over the past months, we couldn’t miss the summer — so we’re back with a renewed program and an exciting collaboration with Playhood Amsterdam.
For 2026, we will run only 2 exclusive weeks of camp in a new location, combining our art program with Playhood’s beautiful play space — adding a whole new layer of movement, play, and fun to the experience.
What kind of activities will your child enjoy?
Our Arty Camp is designed to inspire creativity, exploration, and connection through engaging, hands-on experiences. Here’s what your child will enjoy:
🎨 Process Art & Creative Exploration – Hands-on, open-ended art projects
🖌 Steam based crafts – STEAM-based crafts combine science, technology, engineering, art, and math in fun, hands-on activities where children explore, experiment, and create freely.
🔧 Tinkering & Building – Kids will experiment with different materials to create structures, sculptures, and inventive projects that develop problem-solving skills and imagination.
✂️ Hands-On Crafts & Mixed Media – From collage and printmaking to clay modeling, children will explore a variety of creative techniques to express themselves.
🕺✨Light installations, loose parts, and sensory exploration to nurture creative play through an artistic lens. Plus movement activities and theatrical improvisation to help children develop creativity through the body.

A Typical Day at Little Makers Summer Camp
Our days follow a gentle rhythm that balances creative exploration, movement, and moments of calm — so children can enjoy the experience without feeling rushed.
🕘 9:00 – Welcome
We start the day slowly, welcoming each child and easing into the creative mood.
This transition time is important — it helps everyone feel comfortable and ready to begin.
🎨 9:30 – Let’s Create
We dive into our first creative proposals of the day.
Children explore materials, experiment freely, and begin their own creative processes.
🥐🌿 10:30 – Snack & Free Play
Time to recharge.
We take a break to eat and enjoy some outdoor play, bringing balance and fresh energy into the day.
🧵 11:30 – Back to the Atelier
We return to the studio to continue a project or start a new workshop.
Each day evolves based on the group’s rhythm and interests.
🍽️ 12:30 – Lunch Time
We tidy up together and prepare for lunch.
Children bring their own lunch from home.
😌📚 13:30 – Play & Rest at Playhood Amsterdam
Children can enjoy free play in Playhood’s beautiful space or choose to rest and read quietly.
🍎 14:30 –Snack and farewell
We close the day together and get ready to go home.

This summer, we’re hosting our Summer Camp in collaboration with Playhood Amsterdam, a beautifully designed space in one of the city’s most creative neighborhoods.
We’ll have our own dedicated art studio, where children can create calmly and immerse themselves in our process-based art experiences.
During the day, in addition to our creative labs and outdoor time in the park, we will also enjoy, after lunch:

Older children → a unique immersive experience: Escapehood, where stories come to life through clever puzzles, surprises, and two storylines: Premiere at Cinehood and The Forget Lab
